However, CIB has successfully and effectively managed the different threat scenarios encountered in the country during the past years through our developed Business Continuity Plans which are designed to be flexible in responding to actual and unpredictable events that may face the bank.
CIB was the first and only local bank in Egypt to start enforcing Business Continuity standards since 2010. CIB is ISO 22301 certified in Business Continuity Management covering all bank’s services and related operations. CIB has fully fledged business continuity plans, which were developed to mitigate risks and reduce potential negative issues and impacts of natural and man-made disasters. Our plans provide structure and guidance for the safety of customers and employees in the bank’s premises and regulated procedures for the continuity of the banking operations and services to be able to continue providing the best service possible to our customers.
To guarantee its effectiveness and reliability, our Business continuity plans are reviewed & tested regularly, to ensure they account for technology, business and regulatory changes, operations, structure or location. All plans are kept confidential and are not distributed to the public.
